Immune Intelligence™
Know more.
Discover more.™
Multiplexed in-solution protein arrays, or MISPA™, measures antibodies against hundreds of full-length, folded antigens in thousands of samples at once, from a single microlitre of serum.
Scale
Hundreds of targets. Thousands of samples. One run.
MISPA™ turns full-length proteins into a massively multiplexed, sequencing-readable immunoassay.
How MISPA™ works
Five steps, one run
Incubate
1 µl of sample into the barcoded library
Capture
Bound interactions pulled down together
Amplify
PCR, and samples indexed
Sequence
Barcodes counted by NGS
Immune Intelligence
AI models the barcoded data into a quantitative report: per antigen, per sample, per population screened
Full-length folded proteins bind in solution, which preserves the shapes antibodies actually recognise. Barcodes turn an immunoassay into a simple sequencing task, which is why it scales to thousands of samples in a day.
Immune Intelligence™
Measure → Compare → Predict
Immune Intelligence™ is the quantitative characterisation of antigen-specific antibody profiles across individuals and populations.
Measure
01 Hundreds of antigen-specific antibody levels from one microlitre, quantitatively, in agreement with cleared assays.
Compare
02 One person against a population, or the same person over time. Stable enough over eighteen months that a change means something happened.
Predict
03 Patterns of exposure and immune responsiveness, and potentially predictive immune signatures.
Research applications
What could you discover?
Three questions researchers bring, and the kind of answer one run returns.
Which antibodies separate responders from non-responders?
High-throughput profiling of immune biomarkers. Signals in serum that single-antigen methods cannot see.
What has this population been exposed to?
Surveillance and predictive responses to emerging pathogens and biothreats. Shown at cohort scale: 8,687 samples from 4,089 participants across four SeroNet centres.
What can the immune system tell us?
Multiplexed tests for infectious diseases, oncology biomarkers, autoimmune disease, vaccine tracking, immune monitoring. Useful for initial discovery and for tracking progress over time.
Scientific validation
Peer-reviewed papers
Peer reviewed and in the public record: the methods, the cohorts and the agreement data are all published.
Pre-vaccine sentinel antibodies predict blunted responses
Measuring a broad array of antigens can predict responses to new ones: antibodies to common microbes, measured before a booster, separate strong from weak responders. After two doses 71.6% of transplant recipients responded weakly; after the booster 37.9% still did.
Quantitative assessment of multiple pathogen exposure
Antibody levels are stable over time, and changes are detectable when there are new clinical events. Agreement with FDA-cleared assays: 94.5% positive and 96.9% negative for wRBD, 90.9% and 98.4% for nucleocapsid. Detected antibodies down to 40 ng/ml.
Collaborate
Start with a question.
End with insight.
Two things start a collaboration. Everything else follows from them.
What you are trying to find out, in one sentence. If it is a question about what an immune system has seen, it is probably a question MISPA™ can be pointed at.
Serum or plasma, one microlitre each. How many, from whom, and over what period, matters more than how they were collected.
